This tour give you the possibility to appreciate the best historical sites in Northern Italy. Three full day excusions to discover Brescia, Lake Garda and Verona, and to visit their beautiful centers rich of monument and museum such as Gabriele D’annunzio’s House, the Catullo’s Caves and Castelvecchio Museum.

Brescia is a historic town located in the region of Lombardy between Milan and Verona provided with good transport links which make it an ideal jumping-off point for Lake Garda and Iseo. Discover its centre rich in monuments and museums: the Monastic complex of San Salvatore and Santa Giulia recently included in the Unesco World Heritage list; Piazza del Foro and the Tempio Capitolino, dating back to the Roman period, the beautiful Cathedral Duomo Vecchio and Palazzo Broletto of the medieval era and Piazza Loggia that reminds of the Venetian power over the town for almost three centuries.
DAY 1 Arrival at your hotel in Brescia. Meet and Greet. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2 (Brescia) After breakfast a half day guided walking tour to explore the peculiar features of the historic centre of Brescia: the Roman area with Piazza del Foro, the Medieval heritage in Piazza Duomo with its cathedral and Palazzo Broletto, the Venetian-style Piazza Loggia with its clocktower. In the afternoon free time for shopping or to discover a few of its museums (eg. Monastic complex of S. Salvatore – Santa Giulia and Capitolium archaeological area, UNESCO World Heritage sites). Overnight stay.
DAY 3 (Gardone Riviera – Sirmione)
After breakfast departure to Gardone Riviera for a visit to the Vittoriale, Gabriele D’Annunzio’s House full of original memorabilia and its gorgeous gardens in which there is an open-air amphitheatre, the warship Puglia e other weird artefacts. Free time for lunch in Gardone Riviera and then board for a short cruise to Sirmione nestled on a charming peninsula. Visit to Catullo’s Caves, remainings of a roman villa, and time at your disposal to discover this picturesque town with its crenellated walled castle. Return back to Brescia. Overnight stay.
DAY 4 (Verona)
After breakfast, departure to Verona, a true gem among the Italian historic cities. It has always enchanted its visitors and is world renowned for the Summer Opera Season at the Arena. Legend and reality are mixed in Romeo and Juliet’s tragical love story set in this romantic city where you can visit Juliet’s House with her famous Balcony, her tombstone and the Roman theatre with a guided walking tour. Don’t forget to get an eyeful to its elegant boutiques in via Mazzini or among the stalls in Piazza delle Erbe. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon entrance and audioguide at the Castelvecchio Museum. Return to your hotel in Brescia. Overnight stay.
